You have to eat one to believe it! All the advantages of whole wheat such as 4 to 5 times the level of B vitamins, minerals and fiber but with the smoother Mouth feel and sweeter taste than regular whole wheat.

On average we eat just one serving of whole grains each day – and almost half of Americans eat no whole grains at all! These levels are well below the minimum three servings recommended in the 2005 Dietary Guidelines.

The new Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend that everyone eat at least half their grains as whole grains. For adults, this means three or more servings of whole grains every day. The USDA defines a whole grain serving as any food containing 16 grams of whole grain. 16 grams is just a little more than half an ounce – so three servings (48 grams) of whole grain total under two ounces. A small amount of whole grain translates into big health benefits!

The Guidelines say "eat three ounce-equivalents" of whole grains. An ounce is just over 28 grams. So which one is a serving -- 16 grams or 28 grams?

The Guidelines call an ounce a serving because an ounce of bread or cereal made totally with whole grains contains, on average, 16 grams of whole grains – with the other 12 grams being water, sugar, fat and other ingredients.

Our white whole wheat products can be an important part of meeting this requirement as they have 10 to 22 grams of whole grain per item (depending on serving size and product).

Naturally milder-tasting because the bran in white wheat contains less tannin, which gives the wheat a sweeter taste.
